Free one way links, basically free backlinks, are a great and "no cost to you" solution for increasing the amount of backlinks to your website, and can also help lead your website into getting higher rankings in search engines.

Ways to get free one way links:
  • Submit your website to directories.
  • Have an article that you'd like to share with the world? Submit it to free article submission websites and include a link back to your site at the bottom of your article. There's over 1,000 free article submission websites - you may be able to find a free service on the net that'll mass submit your article to every one of them!
  • Keep links to your website(s) in relavent forum signatures.
  • Have a blog? Blog about your site!

That's a small list of popular and effective ways to receive free one way links. I've always found a website titled One Way Text Link that may help you on your journey to free backlinks.

Good luck! Big Grin
Thank-you for mentioning that last website, it has a list of 440 websites that permit free one-way links! Obtaining links from those that do not oblige reciprocals is the most simplistic way of achieving backlinks. I am almost certain that I have not submitted my sites on each of those directories, so I should get to work. Toungue
i think the 2nd best way to get quality back links for free is to list your site in one way link directories, but remember to submit your site with the most relevent and lower occupied categories
3 way link can also be consider a free one way link. It is a form of exchange links but instead of doing it like A->B,B->A it will be A->C,B->A
You can also do blog commenting but please don't over do it. Smile
Blog commenting can be considered spam easily! The comment should be useful and to the topic.

Without question, the stategy that works best for me is writing and submitting articles. Not as effective as it was a couple of years ago, unless you know how a few tricks.

Julian
article submissions is definitely a very good long term strategy
I would suggest,
> Limit your article submission to 100-200 good article directories rather than A lot,
> Stay away from blog comments, However blog posts are okay.

Other ways are Press Releases, Social Bookmarking etc..
