For all of you graphics designers,
what does dither mean? What is the effect on the picture when I put dither to 100%?
I think it means noise or fade, which means to add some interference into the picture...at least I think so.

Dither is indeed noise.
It's a handy option if you want to print a gradient.
If you want your design only on the computer you don't need it, but if you print a design with a gradient in it your printer have problems with this. (more expensive printers have less problems, but they always have some problems with them). If you add some dither to your gradient, the printing result will be a lot better.
